There were several stories that particularly stood out to us! First, there was a dog named Maya who was found injured and was brought to PAE about 6 months ago. She came badly injured and her leg needed to be amputated. Maya has been doing lots of therapy and has no difficulty walking. She's a total sweetheart and she loves to keep herself busy with giving PAE caregivers company. Her adoption profile with be linked below if you're interested in providing her with a forever home. Another dog named Lucas was surrendered during COVID. PAE has been doing a lot of community outreach work to inform the public thats cats and dogs do not transmit COVID. He's very friendly and likes to hang out on the second floor. Choco, a dog that was surrendered about 4 years ago, was brought in with several medical challenges including hyperthyroidism. Since then, PAE has given him medical care to manage his hyperthyroidism and special food to control his weight. Choco has an imperative role at PAE by greeting visitors and posing for pictures. He is a very happy and handsome dog who is the official face of several PAE campaigns. His adoption profile will be linked below as well. PAE also provides refuge and assistance to a lot of cats! Bebé, a cat who was born at PAE with help from caregivers, is sweet and playful. Titi was surrendered and loves to be pet. Zuco, a cat who was also surrendered, loves attention and is very active.
